Legislature Will Be Back Monday

The budget and jobs package (something that's still ill-defined) are the key agenda items, though the door is open for more. In a press conference moments ago, Gog. Gregoire, Senate Majority Leader Lisa Brown and House Speaker Frank Chopp detailed what they saw as the session's accomplishments and said they were close to agreement on the outstanding issue of the state's tax and spending plan.

We'll see. Let your lawmakers know that you expect them to solve the problem without adding to the burdens of hardworking families and employers. The weekend is a great time to talk with them. Your voice has rarely been as important to our state's economic well being.
